There are several reasons for this: apprehension of reactions and judgement from colleagues, lack of support from management and stressful working conditions all contribute to a constrained environment for people to mention the importance their hold for personal development practices. Even when some of these activities are proposed within the workplace, such as meditation, yoga, and self-expression\/self-development activities, there is still a general lack of knowledge from CEO&rsquo;s and management as to implement them successfully. As I mention at the conference regarding a previous intervention I conducted at Lenz &amp; Staehelin, Switzerland No.1 and biggest law firm:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1098 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/boazfeldman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screen-Shot-2015-04-11-at-14.28.50.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-04-11 at 14.28.50\" width=\"259\" height=\"301\" \/><\/td>\n<td>\u00ab\u00a0It works better when demand<br \/>\nfor these resourcing<br \/>\npractices comes from higher<br \/>\nlevels of the command chain.<br \/>\nIf the leader has the courage<br \/>\nto engage himself\/herself,<br \/>\nsuddenly emerges a lot of<br \/>\ninterest from the workforce. Those already practicing reveal<br \/>\nthemselves and curious ones<br \/>\nbecome interested. At Lenz &amp;<br \/>\nStaehelin, already 10 sessions<br \/>\nhave been conducted.\u00a0\u00bb<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These practices, helps them align their personal goals to their work in several ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stress reduction<\/li>\n<li>Teambuilding<\/li>\n<li>Self-care and burnout prevention<\/li>\n<li>Bridging personal needs for meaning and corporate needs for efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Developing person-centered leadership skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A more elaborate series of modules for the public will be proposed in Geneva, Switzerland in the fall of 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 18th 2015, Geneva went through an innovative transformation: a public conference was held to support CEO&rsquo;s and managers to include their existing Mindfulness practice in the corporate world.
